hump day
Since the deal with raintoday.com fell through I’ve been blasting my resume out to any and all offers that sound remotely interesting. My new technique is focused on quantity, not quality of leads, applications and cover letters. Devoting precious time to create that perfectly constructed application packet for a part-time Web Production job at WBZ News takes valuable minutes away from finding that Client Manager job on page three on the latest monster.com job board site. At least, that is my go-to strategy now.
What else can I do? Aside from find turning my ideas into an entrepreneurial adventure, finding a corporate or even non-profit opportunity is what I feel I need. In any case, here’s what I’m working on right now. Today I woke up late…again!
I owe it all to the time zone shift from the left coast—oh and I blame it all on the monkey…the hallowed stuffed mascot of Jen and Scott’s wedding in Pescadero, CA from this past weekend. I think I got a grand total of 11 hours of sleep between being sick, flying to San Francisco, hanging with the cuz Peter, entertaining wedding festivities and exploring the fabulous streets of the Castro.
Now it’s Wednesday, I’m back in Boston…and hitting up my patented job finding technique. So far today I’ve applied to that Web Production job at WBZ news, which is only part time and temporary, called a recruiter back named Mike from Addison Search, scoured monster.com, and later hoping to follow up with leads I generated from two weeks ago at CDM, Pearson, Capital Advisors Group and Ropes & Gray LLP.
But as for right now, I’m scarfing down a mini-bagel with butter and jam, fueling my muscles for my trip to the BSC south end. Back and Bi’s and squats is what I’m fixin to do, along with a quick swim.
